ARTISTS ON MAIN STREET
Artists on Main Street is a program that activates artists and creatives to address challenges and solve problems in downtown districts. These challenges are often things that are left to already over-extended city staff or district stakeholders, and by employing creative and community thinking models, change is able to happen in new ways.
Artists on Main Street can happen anywhere! We’re currently working with communities in Minnesota and
North Dakota, and are excited to continue the momentum around creative solutions in downtown districts
all over. Artists on Main Street trainings can happen both virtually and in-person.

ARTISTS ON MAIN STREET PROJECT: 2018-2022
Artists on Main Street was launched in 2018 in partnership with Springboard for the Arts with financial support from the Bush Foundation.
The pilot year’s success in Faribault, Mankato, and Winona in 2018 resulted in continued investment in the program by the Bush Foundation to include eleven total communities over a four-year period. The initial years of the Artists on Main Street program have closed, but the impacts that came from this program are still being felt in local communities.
