Kick off 2025 with fresh ideas on historic preservation at our "New Year, New Preservation" event! Join us on January 13th, 2025 at Waldmann Brewery for an engaging evening featuring a talk and presentation by Heidi Swank, Executive Director of Rethos. Heidi will share insights into "New Preservation," a movement redefining how we view and approach historic preservation.

What is New Preservation? New Preservation emphasizes a broader, more inclusive approach to preserving places that matter, moving beyond traditional landmarks to consider the everyday spaces that shape community life. This approach recognizes the cultural and economic value of adaptive reuse and environmental sustainability, ensuring that preservation benefits everyone. Heidi will discuss Rethos' innovative initiatives, like revitalizing neighborhoods through community-driven projects, repurposing vacant buildings, and advocating for preservation policies that serve both people and places.

Tickets are $10. Snacks will be provided and beverages are available for purchase.
