About the Event
Learn how some of east St. Cloud’s repurposing of old buildings is helping our community thrive! Attend this engaging community event and find out about the importance of east St. Cloud’s unique built environment. Hear about the sustainability of reusing existing buildings, the importance of building reuse, and the benefits of deconstruction if reuse is not an option, from Melissa Wenzel, Built Environment Sustainability Administrator for the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency. The works shown will include local examples with some of the area’s deep and vibrant history provided courtesy of Mary Ostby, Executive Director of the Benton County Historical Society and a building reuse expert herself. The event will include time for Q & A. Come with your questions and prepare to engage in this vital and surprisingly fascinating topic!
